 The Agriturismo Le Macchie is close to the main cultural and historical centers of the val d'Orcia and the " Senese", the closest village ( 5 min. driving ) is Monticchiello, This picturesque little village, with a wonderful view of Pienza and the Val d'Orcia, preserves the townwalls and the 13C castle. In July and August is held an interesting theatre season, with plays written and performed by the residents of Monticchiello. Le Macchie is located between Pienza and Montepulciano.

From Rome, highway A1: exit Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. Follow signs for Chianciano then Montepulciano. 1.5 km after S.Albino and a few Km before Montepulciano turn to the left (Via della Montagna) direction Monticchiello and after 5.8 Km from the beginning Via della Montagna you will find "Le Macchie" on your left.
From Florence, highway A1: exit Valdichiana. Follow signs for Montepulciano. Arriving at Montepulciano follow signs for Chianciano. After 2 km there is an intersection on the right (Via della Montagna) direction Monticchiello and after 5.8 Km from the beginning Via della Montagna you will find "Le Macchie" on your left
